Performance
Built from the ground up, the 2024 Chevrolet Silverado EV depends on the Ultium platform that makes the 24-module battery pack part of the bottom structure and puts the motors at the front and back ends. The result is a GM-estimated 400-range on a full charge.
Fast charging at up to 350kW from public stations provides about 100 miles of range in 10 minutes. You can also power up at home through a 120-volt household outlet or through a 240-volt appliance outlet for faster charge times.
If you include the available accessory power bar, the PowerBase charging system offers up to 10 outlets for a total of 10.2kW of power for lamps, electric tools, or home devices. You can also charge another EV if you opt for the accessory charge cord.
You'll take control of up to 664 horsepower and 780 lb.-ft. of torque with a 0-60 rush of under 1.5 seconds. Maximum capacity for payload equals 1,300 lbs. and the maximum trailering reaches 10,000 lbs. In the future, a fleet model will have up to 20,000 pounds of trailering with the Max Tow Package.
Because all four-wheel turn at the same time, you can crab-walk diagonally in tight spaces. Independent front and rear suspension gives you a smoother drive. The vehicle can raise or lower by up to 2 inches via Automatic Adaptive Air Suspension.
Exterior
The 2024 Chevrolet Silverado EV maximizes your passenger capacity by being available exclusively with a Crew Cab that seats six and has four doors. In the front, the eTrunk consists of a weatherproof compartment that locks. It has enough space for a large hard-sided suitcase and multiple accessory options.
The available Multi-Flex Midgate opens to allow for up to ten feet of storage length from the 5'-11" truck bed and the cab when you fold down the 60/40-split rear seatbacks. In the rear, the available Multi-Flex Tailgate has a power release and six different functions. It has an inner gate with a work surface to provide a standing desk, a full-width step to ease bed access, and a primary gate load stops to prevent long cargo from sliding out of the bed.
Interior
In the first row of the 2024 Chevy Silverado EV, a modular console holds up to 7 gallons, which is big enough for a lunch cooler. This is only possible because the electric platform eliminates the need for a transmission. You'll see the sun and stars through the available fixed glass roof.
On the dash, the 17-inch diagonal LCD freeform infotainment screen plays a 3D animation when you enter. Behind the steering wheel, you'll find an 11-inch diagonal driver instrument display. You can keep your eyes on the road with the Head-Up Display that has a field of view expanding over 14 inches. Hands-Free Start turns the engine on automatically when you enter with the coded key-fob.
Ultifi, the new software platform based on Linux allows for rapid and frequent updates. Your truck evolves over time, thanks to quick cloud access. Super Cruise driver assistance lets you drive hands-free on more than 200,000 miles of compatible roads in the USA and Canada.
